My view is that capitalism contributed to the current reality we live in. The world has gone through economic hardship and has also been experiencing massive economic wars between two of the richest nations: China and The United States of America. Capitalism has pros and cons. Large-scale production can lead to inequality in the population. Besides that, the focus on profit may lead companies and businesses to neglect environmental concerns. However, the profit purpose encourages businesses to be efficient and productive. In addition to that, Capitalism gives people the right to own property and engage in business, which allows for a range of variety of goods and assistance in society.
To conclude, I am sure it is a complex system with both positive and negative aspects.
It is an important discussion which contributes to the understanding of how our world is financially and politically today.
